Works as advertisednDelivery and installation went smoothly as advertised. Map looks good in MapSource, but I did not have a chance to use it in the field yet.

peru GPS nIt did not work as is expected from a GPS. It took only a few town's names and I could drive on highways using the way to a town. It did not take any local address inside a town

Garmin Map of PerunGarmin's map of Peru is absolutely terrible! We repeatedly used all of the addresses, hotel names, and other alternate landmarks to navigate through Peru. The data loaded in Gamin's map of Peru worked MAYBE 10% of the time. Do not waste your money on this map of Peru. Rent a GPS in Peru. Yes, it may cost you a little more money, but how much do you value actually being able to find your destinations.

no topo detail...nI down loaded the map to my gps and the only area of Peru showing up is an area near Cusco to maybe 50 miles West and 30 miles north. This does not cover any of the most popular trails. Am I missing something during the download from your web site. We leave again to hike in two days. ADMIN NOTE: Please contact with questions and any problems that arise. Topo detail is for the Cusco and Macchu Picchu area only, roads cover entire country.

Question: Caral areanHi, does the Peru map cover the Caral area? Topo would be nice, but I'm really interested in the roads to and from the site.

CommentsnGood product. I hope that you may extend the topo data in the future issue. Otherwise the addresses are correct and the system can conduct you.

A good investment for driver's a little less attractive for hiking outside the sacred valley.

Good maps, needs updating.nI think the maps were about as accurate as I expected, I mean obviously it's no easy task to continually update roads, increase number of isoline divisions and update poi's, so all in all this was a pretty good product and the best to be found I'm sure. Even if accuracy was increased for important places like the sacred valley it would be more valuable, or the inca trail. All In all good map.

GPS Travel Maps PerunHad some problems getting the appropriate unlock code, but that was sorted out easily enough on line. Other than that the maps are really good and have a good POI database. I use several of them for central and south America.

Peru GPS ServicenWhile there was a technical issue with the Peru map and we were unable to use it, the service was great. The download went well and when we experienced problems with use, the issue was quickly diagnosed and responded to. When it became apparent that the product would not work out for us, the refund was processed quickly. Thank you for your help and we hope to find a need to use your service again.

Why Buy A Map For Your GPS Device?

On average the cost of renting a GPS from a car rental company is US$12 per day in addition to your standard car rental fees. By using your own Garmin GPS and purchasing a map for your travel destination, you will begin saving money within days and the map is yours to use on subsequent trips.

GPS devices are great to use while traveling because they work worldwide without needing a cell phone signal or other paid service to operate. However, without a map, the GPS won’t be able to provide road navigation outside of your home area/country. By purchasing a map and installing it on your GPS device, you’ll be able to use your Garmin to provide you accurate car navigation, attentive installation help from our staff if you need it and you’ll get the most out of your travels!
