Central America GPS MapnSo far so good. We entered Guatemala yesterday! Many name of cities not found (when trying to create trips need to use the map to select destination). Not so easy to type in a name of city (need country abreviations?). BUT overall so reassuring! I would not do without it!

Not working properly!nThe map set for Central America clearly DOES NOT work on a Garmin/BMW Navigator VI.Repeated attempts to load and reload it ends with the same results: Unit screen goes blank when zoomed down to street level. All my other Garmin maps work fine it's just this (expensive) map that I downloaded from your site that does not. Suggestions from your costumer service (Nolan and Jon) failed to resolve the problem as well and in the end they suggested I research a solution on YouTube. After many frustrating hours spent trying to get the map to work I've given up, I simply can't waste any more of my time on this.

Not HappynHorrible experience with download of Central America maps. Got us lost every time we reached a large centre. Driving around in unlit neighbourhoods in foreign and dangerous countries no fun. Travelling on the Pan American Highway it wouldn't even display a roadway. $199.00 to get lost and have to refer back to the old way with paper maps. Very unsatisfactory.

First impressionnFirst impression is that your map coverage is poor, at least in the area of most interest to me (and which I checked out in detail), which is the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Major cities and towns are not even identified in the database! For example, I cannot ask as destinations the cities of Guapiles or Siquirres, or the major tourist towns of Puerto Viejo, Cuahuita or Manzanillo.

We will be using your map as we travel by car from the US through Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. Perhaps your coverage of the major routes will be sufficient for our purpose.

For Costa Rica, my choices were your Central America map, or Garmein's South America map that extends up to Costa Rica.

Right now I think that I made the wrong choice and wasted $199. Let's hope that impression changes as we travel our route.

ADMIN NOTE: We do have Guapiles and Siquirres and Puerto Viejo marked on the map, with local streets. Send an email to support@gpstravelmaps.com if you're having trouble viewing this part of the map.

Central America GPS mapsnWe started out good in Costa Rica until we reached the hotel in Punta Arenas.

Unfortunately a couple of nights ago I tried to go to a restaurant near the hotel that came up on the GPS but instead we were directed to a wild goose chase through the country side.

Really puzzling and now I do not know if other directions I get from it can be trusted or not.

BillingnAs previously mentioned I was frustrated by the fact that the rebate-code anounced on your website finally was rejected when I purchased the product.

As a TomTom user living in Guatemala temporarily I already needed ti buy a Garmin system, since no TomTom map was available.

Why anouncing a rebate when it is not granted?

Best regards

Driving Around Central AmericanMaps are quite useful while driving around in the different countries, sometimes you need to use different approach to get the needed directions which could be difficult for someone who doesn't know the area.
